Cancellation, Refunds, Requests, and Covid-19 Policy 

DeckHand Requests

Please note that Deckhand requests are just a “request”.

We do our very best to accommodate your request for a specific Deckhand, however, sometimes this is not possible as we get multiple requests on the same day.

Again, we will do our best to combine the groups but cannot guarantee you will get your requested Deckhand.

If you choose to cancel your trip because you did not receive the requested Deckhand you will be subject to the terms and conditions of our refund policy stated below.

Cancellations made by Ryu-Kin Fishing Charters

Deposits or payments are refundable if the Captain cancels due to wind, high seas, or stormy weather, and the decision to cancel is made the night before your fishing trip or while standing on the dock. 

We want you to have a memorable, fun time, and if the weather appears to be unsafe or too rough, we will try to reschedule your trip. 

If we cancel due to weather and you are not able to reschedule, your reservation payment will be refunded either on your credit card or in cash at our store minus the merchant fees.  

Cancellations made by Client

Reservation payments may be refunded for cancellations outside of 7 days from the day of the charter without penalty minus any merchant fees. 

If you cancel less than 7 days from the day of the charter, you will be charged 70% of the total cost plus any merchant fees. This is done to protect our Captains and the company from the loss of business. 

We will not provide refunds for cancellations 24 hours or less before departure.

We will no longer provide full refunds for COVID-19 related cancellations within 7 days of departure.

COVID-19 related circumstances are not covered outside of our 7 day refund policy include: transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable law; and other government mandates—like evacuation orders, border closures, prohibitions on fishing charters, and shelter-in-place requirements.

Surcharge fees for invoices/credit card payments are not refundable at any time. 

Covid-19 Refund Policy

COVID-19 is a global pandemic declared by the World Health Organization and therefore COVID-19 and its consequences are no longer unforeseen or unexpected.

We will not provide refunds for cancellations 24 hours or less before departure.

We will no longer provide full refunds for COVID-19 related cancellations within 7 days of departure.

Covid-19 Policy Aboard our Vessels

To ensure the safety of our customers, we will require everyone to wear a mask and maintain social distancing while on the boat. Additionally, before making a reservation please verify you are not restricted from fishing charters with your chain of command.
